Terms & Conditions

Last updated May 26, 2026. These terms govern your use of GetCID.

Agreement

By accessing or using GetCID (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Livezen Technologies LLC ("we", "us"). These Terms reference our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

Accounts

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • You're responsible for the security of your password and any API tokens you create. Use a strong, unique password and rotate tokens if you suspect compromise.
  • One person per account — don't share credentials. Resellers may create separate accounts for staff.
  • Provide accurate information. We may suspend accounts using false identities or stolen payment methods.

What we provide

GetCID provides:

  • Generation of Microsoft Confirmation IDs (CIDs) from Installation IDs (IIDs), gated by single-use access codes
  • Free utility tools: product-key check, redeem check, Office 365 account audit
  • An API for resellers to mint codes programmatically
  • An embeddable form for resellers' own websites

The Service depends on a third-party upstream (pidkey.com). We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability and may experience outages that are outside our control.

Access codes

  • Each code is single-use and is consumed only on a successful CID generation. Failed lookups do not consume the code.
  • Codes have no expiry by default, but admins may set per-code expirations at issuance.
  • Codes are non-transferable between accounts but can be shared by you with whomever you choose.
  • We reserve the right to revoke codes obtained through fraudulent payment or in violation of these Terms; no refund is owed in that case.

Payments

  • All prices are shown on the /buy page in the currency listed (typically USD).
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. By paying, you also agree to Stripe's terms.
  • Taxes are not currently included; you're responsible for any local taxes on your end if applicable.
  • Charges appear on your statement as Livezen Technologies LLC (or Stripe's normalized descriptor).

Refunds

We refund unused codes within 7 days of purchase. Once a code has been used to generate a CID it is considered consumed and is not refundable.

  • Email /support with your purchase email + order/intent ID.
  • Approved refunds are credited via Stripe to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
  • If we issue a refund, we revoke any still-active codes from that purchase.
  • Chargeback abuse (filing a chargeback on legitimate, used codes) may result in account suspension and a chargeback fee.

API + integrations

  • Resellers may create API tokens and use them within the rate limits documented in our developer docs.
  • You're responsible for keeping tokens secret — anyone with your plaintext token can mint codes from your quota.
  • Don't reverse engineer, abuse, or attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls.
  • The iframe embed can be placed on sites you control; you may not re-host the form in a way that misrepresents who is providing the service.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any applicable law, including export controls or sanctions
  • Attempt to disrupt or compromise the Service (DDoS, exploitation, credential stuffing)
  • Scrape, mass-download, or reverse-engineer the Service beyond what's needed to use it normally
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your relationship with us
  • Resell the Service in a way that violates these Terms (resellers may resell codes, not the underlying tools as if they were your own)
  • Use the Service for any unlawful Microsoft license activity in your jurisdiction

We may suspend or terminate accounts for repeated or egregious violations.

Intellectual property

The GetCID name, logo, and software are owned by Livezen Technologies LLC. The CIDs and check responses returned by the Service originate from a third-party upstream and are subject to Microsoft's own terms with respect to license activation.

You retain ownership of any data you submit (IIDs, keys, screenshots). By submitting, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to process that data solely to deliver the Service.

Liability + warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that any specific CID we generate will succeed in your particular activation scenario. Microsoft controls activation outcomes; we proxy the request only.

IN NO EVENT WILL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

Termination

You may close your account at any time by emailing support. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these Terms, fraud, or chargeback abuse. On termination, unused codes are revoked and we retain only the minimum data required by law (e.g., tax records).

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms when our practices change. We'll post the new version with an updated date at the top. Material changes (changes that meaningfully reduce your rights) are announced by email to active accounts at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Delaware, except where local consumer law requires otherwise.
